Dear Fellow Members,

Well, we’ve been and gone and done it! Your committee has arranged an event to which you are ALL cordially invited.

At our AGM, members indicated that we should consider arranging a cruise planning meeting and social gathering in a location away from The Cotswolds, in view of the number of members we now have who are not resident there or thereabouts.

With the great help and encouragement of their Treasurer, Brenda Ward, the Longwood Boat Club has offered their clubhouse for us to use!

We have arranged with them the use of the clubhouse at their address:
Rushall Top Lock, Aldridge Road, Walsall, WS24 2JS

The meeting will take place on Saturday 28th February 2015 at 1200 hrs

We hope you can arrange to be there to meet up again, have a chat, discuss both early ideas for 2016 cruises (yes, I did say 2016), next year’s (2015) cruises and of course reminisce about previous ones. Bring along your photo’s, P.C., Ipad, Tablet etc. and show us all!

We propose that we partake of suitable refreshments shortly after we arrive, followed by a raffle, and then conclude with the meeting and social.

There is a very good Fish and Chip shop close by who will deliver to the venue. When we are nearer the date, I’ll find out what can be delivered, let you know and then place the order with a couple of days to go!

In order to defray the (very reasonable) cost of the venue, we would like to hold a raffle, the prizes being all sorts of things, home-baked cakes, biscuits, chutney, jam etc. The more the merrier and a chance to display your culinary skills! If you aren’t a cook, then tea-bags, jars of coffee, bottles of wine, whisky (Bob hopes to win that one!) but really, anything eatable or drinkable would be fine.
